The general liability market remains competitive across much of Europe and, as a result, clients can often secure rate reductions upon renewal. Insurers are expanding their operations into new territories, bringing additional capacity with them and further intensifying local competition. In general across the region, continued competition between local insurers is expected to maintain marginal downward pressure on rates.
